This year’s goal is once again to raise $5000 or more for the Milton District Hospital. At the AMA Hair For Care event students and instructors will be either shaving their heads or breaking boards in return for sponsor pledges. We also have students who are shaving their beards or donating their ponytails to angel hair for kids! If you would like to take part and / or pledge one of our members please come on down to the Milton Academy of Martial Arts

Board breaking for our member challenges as well as the public at large will begin at 4pm. For $5 you will be able to break a wooden board after a quick tutorial with one of our instructors. We also have two black belts attempting a 100 board challenge!!!

Ms. Debbie Bauer
Ms. Bauer, one of our black belt candidates for 2019 as well as a long time staff member, has graciously volunteered to shave her head bald in return for pledges. Her personal goal is to raise $2000 for the event!
There are many youth students also looking for pledges, and all the money is going to the Milton District Hospital which serves everyone in our community. Did you know that the government only pays for the brick and mortar building and maintenance of the hospital as well as staffing salaries? Everything else that makes a hospital a hospital is fund by the Milton District Hospital Foundation (MDHF) fundraisers. So, everything from MRI machines to post-it notes, pens to hospital beds, is only available because of generous donors like you!

If you are donating $25 or more and want a tax receipt from the Milton District Hospital foundation, please be sure to enter your address info when prompted by PayPal so we can pass that on to the hospital.
Please Note: PayPal takes a 2.9% + $0.30 fee so if you are making a $25 donation for a tax receipt you will need to donate $26.03 to be safe as we can only issue a receipt for the donation after fees.
