Hello My Fellow Karate Ka!
As a martial artist for almost 35 years I know a thing or two about tight muscles! I understand how when the body holds tension, it slows us down and limits of range of motion. My nickname when I was grading for my Shodan was “Stone Jay”!
How’s that for an idea of how tight I was:)
I’ve made it my mission over the last 30 years to understand and study biomechanics, the way we move, and how to do this more efficiently. As we get older it’s even more important! Having a Pilates background has benefited my own personal journey to moving well. Now I’d excited to share this with you!
In week one we will explore the fascia and how to release tension, create better circulation and improve your range of motion. A tip/homework sheet will help you practice and then in week two, we move on to dynamic and active stretching. These will be tools you can use in your training and in your daily life for years to come!
Like Shihan says, “We need to stretch our age in minutes every week!” So let’s get started! October 15 & 22 at 1:30 PM:)
